I chose to make Dilly Beans for my fermentation project, my grandma gave me a recipe to try (she says "the longer they sit, the better they are") So we will have to wait and see how they will turn out. (Of course she gives me the recipe that makes 8-10 pints of beans)
What I'll need: (According to dear grandma's recipe)
- 4 pounds of green beans
- 8-12 heads of fresh dill
- 1/2 cup salt
- 4 cups water
- 4 cups vinegar
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons of mustard seeds
I've got all my ingredients; I'm going to go make some dilly beans :)
